Mills & Williams Attorneys Help Court TV Viewers Follow Dallas Murder Case

(Dallas) When Court TV came to Dallas to cover a high-profile murder trial, it needed some high profile attorneys who could analyze the case for viewers at home.

The network turned to Tom Mills and Christie Williams, name partners in Mills & Williams L.L.P.

On several occasions during the three-week wrongful death trial, Mills and Williams joined the Court TV anchors and correspondents to discuss the testimony, the witnesses, and the evidence.

They were there for opening statements, as the plaintiffs laid out their case detailing their belief that Charles Mayhew Jr. was responsible for the 1998 shotgun killing of his father. And they were there at the end when jurors sided with Mayhew’s sister, Amanda Dealey, and awarded her $26 million.

“It was an interesting opportunity for us,” says Mills. “Attorneys always like to watch other attorneys at work, and this gave us a great excuse to do it.”

“And this was definitely a case to watch,” adds Williams. “It had everything: Money, notoriety, intrigue. It will be interesting to see how much of the verdict gets upheld on appeal.”

Devoted exclusively to complex criminal defense litigation, Mills & Williams L.L.P. is a law firm focused on helping its clients navigate the criminal justice system. The firm’s website can be found at www.millsandwilliams.com.
