(Dallas) - This year, Mills & Williams managing partner, Christie Williams, received another honor attesting to her consistent legal excellence, being named one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.  Ms. Williams now joins founding partner Tom Mills as attorneys with the firm who have received this recognition.  Tom Mills was twice named to prestigious list in 2002 and again in 2003.  Ms. Williams had also been previously recognized by D Magazine as one of the area's best lawyers under 40.

D Magazine ranked the best lawyers by asking more than 6,000 local attorneys to nominate their peers. Voters were required to nominate only those attorneys whose work they had observed firsthand.  Nominations were then sent to a blue-ribbon committee picked by the magazine's editors for final review.

Christie Williams was elected to the board of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and she is also the former chairwoman of the Criminal Justice Committee for the Dallas Bar Association. Ms. Williams is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
